What we Believe

The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the Old and New Testaments; they were written by holy men, inspired by the Holy Spirit,(2 Peter 1:18-21) and are God’s revealed word to man. They are a sufficient and infallible rule and guide to salvation and all Christian worship and services. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) We hold true to the King James Version.

Creation

We believe that the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God spoke this world and everything in it into existence. Then using the dust from His Creation to make man in His Image and likeness. (Genesis 1:1-31)

The Fall

In the garden of Eden, Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge which God had forbidden. Due to the fact that God created Adam and Eve with a free will, the choice was entirely theirs. When they ate of the fruit, their eyes were opened and sin entered into them. Sin separated them from God and he drove them from the garden. (Genesis 3:1-6, 24) Because of their sin we are all born into sin. (Romans 5:12)

Jesus our Savior

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit of God. He was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless perfect life. He willing became the sacrificial offering that was needed to atone the sin of humanity. He laid down His life on the cross of Calvary so that he may take it up again in three days. After the resurrection, He visited with the disciples and other believers for 40 days and then ascended to Heaven to assume His position as man’s mediator. One day He is coming back to claim His bride the Church. (Luke 1:27, 31) (John 10:18) (Acts 1:9)

(1 Timothy 2:5) (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Regeneration

We believe that the only hope for fallen man is found in Jesus Christ our Savior. Regeneration comes when a person realizes they are a sinner. (Romans 3:23) Then they must believe on the Lord Jesus and confess Him as Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:9-10) (John 3:3)

The Church

We believe the Church is the bride in which Christ died for and will one day claim as His bride. The church is a haven of rest in a hectic world. It is a place where one can find peace and shelter in difficult times. It is a place where you can find hope, love and encouragement. It is a place where you can worship God, fellowship with other believers and learn how to live as Christ commanded. The Church is an integral part of every believers life. (Hebrews 10:25)

Marriage

We believe that marriage is Holy and Sacred. It was honored by the presence of Jesus in Cana of Galilee and was also the sight of His first miracle. (John 2:1-8) Marriage is the union of one man(male) and one woman(female). (Genesis 2:23)

Ordinances

We believe and practice The Lord’s Supper(1 Corinthians 12:12-17), Baptism (Romans 6:4) and the Washing of the Saints Feet (John 13:4-17).

Tithing

We believe that Tithing is God’s financial plan to support the work of the local and global church. Both the Old(Genesis 28:22) and New(1 Corinthians 16:2) Testaments teach us to give one tenth of our earnings.
